The Kuwaiti market for fish fillets and other fish meat contracted to $X in 2022, waning by -10.1% against the previous year. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 31%. Over the period under review, imports of attained the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, imports of fish fillets and other fish meat shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a mild slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 38% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then dropped in the following year.
