Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, textile rubber hose exports shrank dramatically to $X in 2021. Overall, exports, however, saw a measured increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 182% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then dropped sharply in the following year.

Saudi Arabia (X tons) was the main destination for textile rubber hose exports from Kuwait, accounting for a 66% share of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United States ($X), with a 25% share of total exports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates, with a 4.8% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Saudi Arabia stood at +20.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United States (+11.1% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (-23.7% per year).

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the average import price increased by 35%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per ton), while the price for Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
