The exports peaked at X litres in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by 214% against the previous year. Saudi Arabia (X litres) was the main destination for sugary soft drink exports from Kuwait, accounting for a 80% share of total exports. Moreover, sugary soft drink exports to Saudi Arabia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Qatar (X litres), tenfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by the United Arab Emirates (X litres), with a 4.5% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Saudi Arabia totaled +57.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Qatar (+33.8% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+108.4% per year).

In value terms, Saudi Arabia ($X) remains the key foreign market for sugary soft drinks exports from Kuwait, comprising 73% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Qatar ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates, with a 5.6% share.
