Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible reduction. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, iron household articles imports surged to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of iron household articles to Kuwait, accounting for a 64% share of total imports. Moreover, iron household articles imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Turkey (X tons), fourfold.
