The level of export peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Bolivia (X tons) represented roughly 100% of total exports in 2022.
Bolivia was also the fastest-growing in terms of the antimony oxides exports, with a CAGR of -6.7% from 2012 to 2022. While the share of Bolivia (+23 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Bolivia ($X) also remains the largest antimony oxides supplier in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per ton, dropping by -2.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the export price increased by 73%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton, and then contracted modestly in the following year.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Bolivia.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Bolivia amounted to +0.5% per year.
Antimony Oxides Imports
Imports in Latin America and the Caribbean
In 2022, supplies from abroad of antimony oxides decreased by -14.8% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 34% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.
In value terms, antimony oxides imports expanded significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 59% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Brazil (X tons) and Mexico (X tons) dominates imports structure, together comprising 73% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Colombia (X tons), Argentina (X tons) and Costa Rica (X tons), together mixing up a 23% share of total imports. Peru (X tons) took a little share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Peru (with a CAGR of +3.7%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Mexico ($X), Brazil ($X) and Argentina ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, with a combined 88% share of total imports. Colombia, Costa Rica and Peru lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 10%.
Peru, with a CAGR of +2.5%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per ton, rising by 33% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the import price increased by 41%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($X per ton), while Colombia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Colombia (+0.3%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
