From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Honduras (with a CAGR of +9.0%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.
In value terms, the largest apple juice supplying countries in Latin America and the Caribbean were Guatemala ($X), El Salvador ($X) and Honduras ($X), with a combined 90% share of total exports.
In terms of the main exporting countries, Honduras, with a CAGR of +8.7%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.

The export price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per ton in 2021, stabilizing at the previous year. In general, the export price saw a mild contraction. Imports in Latin America and the Caribbean
In 2021, the amount of apple juice (single strength) imported in Latin America and the Caribbean soared to X tons, jumping by 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, apple juice imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 20% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

The countries with the highest levels of apple juice imports in 2021 were Nicaragua (X tons), Honduras (X tons) and Guatemala (X tons), together reaching 59% of total import. El Salvador (X tons) ranks next in terms of the total imports with a 7.1% share, followed by the Dominican Republic (6.1%). Panama (X tons), Jamaica (X tons), Mexico (X tons), Cuba (X tons), Chile (X tons) and Costa Rica (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Panama (with a CAGR of +159.8%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest apple juice importing markets in Latin America and the Caribbean were Nicaragua ($X), Honduras ($X) and Guatemala ($X), with a combined 49% share of total imports. Panama, Jamaica, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Chile, Cuba and Costa Rica lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 38%.
Panama, with a CAGR of +185.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per ton in 2021, with a decrease of -2.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the import price increased by 9.8%. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Jamaica ($X per ton), while Honduras ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Panama (+9.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
