In 2021, the amount of apple juice (single strength) imported in Latin America and the Caribbean soared to X tons, jumping by 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, apple juice imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Panama, Jamaica, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Chile, Cuba and Costa Rica lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 38%.

The import price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per ton in 2021, with a decrease of -2.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the import price increased by 9.8%. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Jamaica ($X per ton), while Honduras ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
