The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by 40% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

In value terms, blueberry and cranberry exports declined to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed buoyant growth. Peru represented the major exporter of blueberries and cranberries in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the volume of exports recording X tons, which was approx. 54% of total exports in 2022. Chile (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Mexico (X tons). All these countries together took near 45% share of total exports.

The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In 2022, the import price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per ton, falling by -9.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the import price increased by 20%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Aruba ($X per ton), while Trinidad and Tobago ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
