Exports by Country
Brazil represented the main exporter of camel-back strips for retreading rubber tires in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was near 79% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Mexico (X tons), achieving a 17% share of total exports. Argentina (X tons) took a relatively small share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to camel-back strips exports from Brazil stood at +2.3%. At the same time, Argentina (+8.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Argentina emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of +8.2% from 2012-2021. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Brazil totaled -1.2%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Mexico (-14.3% per year) and Argentina (-1.7% per year).

The export price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per ton in 2021, standing approx. at the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a pronounced setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 9%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Brazil ($X per ton), while Argentina ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports in Latin America and the Caribbean
In 2021, purchases abroad of camel-back strips for retreading rubber tires increased by 51% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after three years of decline. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a deep setback. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, camel-back strips imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw a deep contraction. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Paraguay (X tons), distantly followed by Argentina (X tons), Ecuador (X tons), Bolivia (X tons), Brazil (X tons), Colombia (X tons) and Guatemala (X tons) were the largest importers of camel-back strips for retreading rubber tires, together committing 84% of total imports. Uruguay (X tons) held a little share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Paraguay (with a CAGR of +9.2%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest camel-back strips importing markets in Latin America and the Caribbean were Brazil ($X), Paraguay ($X) and Argentina ($X), with a combined 57% share of total imports.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Brazil ($X per ton), while Bolivia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
