In 2022, the amount of cauliflower and broccoli exported in Latin America and the Caribbean surged to X tons, jumping by 41% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, exports recorded prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 51%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, cauliflower and broccoli exports rose rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 19% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Mexico prevails in exports structure, accounting for X tons, which was approx. 93% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Guatemala (X tons), making up a 7.1% share of total exports.

Total imports indicated a notable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +64.4% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 90% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then declined in the following year.

In value terms, cauliflower and broccoli imports stood at $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 108%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.

El Salvador (X tons) and Mexico (X tons) prevails in imports structure, together mixing up 83% of total imports. Barbados (X tons) and Trinidad and Tobago (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.
