In value terms, Peru ($X), Costa Rica ($X) and Colombia ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together comprising 58% of total exports. Ecuador, Venezuela, El Salvador and Guatemala lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 31%.

The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Colombia ($X per ton), while Ecuador ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In value terms, the largest cement clinker importing markets in Latin America and the Caribbean were Chile ($X), the Dominican Republic ($X) and Nicaragua ($X), with a combined 65% share of total imports. Peru, Colombia, Brazil and Haiti lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 25%.
