For the third consecutive year, LatAmerica and the Caribbean recorded growth in purchases abroad of cumene, which increased by 136% to X tons in 2021. In general, imports showed significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of 11,918% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, cumene imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 5,575% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

The countries with the highest levels of cumene imports in 2021 were Brazil (X tons), together resulting at 100% of total import.
