In value terms, Mexico ($X) remains the largest electric brazing machine supplier in Latin America and the Caribbean, comprising 53% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Chile ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by Panama, with a 9.4% share.
In Mexico, electric brazing machine exports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Chile (+50.3% per year) and Panama (-7.4% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per unit in 2022, picking up by 32% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 93% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Costa Rica ($X per unit), while the Dominican Republic ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+18.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Latin America and the Caribbean
In 2022, approx. X units of electric brazing or soldering machines and apparatus were imported in Latin America and the Caribbean; surging by 16% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a mild curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 71%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, electric brazing machine imports rose markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a slight reduction. In 2022, Mexico (X units), distantly followed by Guatemala (X units), Peru (X units), Brazil (X units), the Dominican Republic (X units), Costa Rica (X units) and Bolivia (X units) were the key importers of electric brazing or soldering machines and apparatus, together constituting 81% of total imports. Colombia (X units) took a relatively small share of total imports.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($X per unit), while Bolivia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
