The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, feldspar exports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports posted a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 49% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Chile (X tons) and Peru (X tons) represented roughly 59% of total imports in 2021. Colombia (X tons) held the next position in the ranking, followed by Costa Rica (X tons) and Ecuador (X tons). All these countries together took approx. 28% share of total imports. The following importers - Nicaragua (X tons) and Venezuela (X tons) - together made up 7.2% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Peru (with a CAGR of +28.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Chile ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported feldspar in Latin America and the Caribbean, comprising 34% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Colombia ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by Peru, with a 15% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Chile totaled +12.8%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Colombia (+3.8% per year) and Peru (+14.6% per year).
