Exports in Latin America and the Caribbean
In 2021, approx. X units of hand-held blow pipes for soldering, brazing or welding were exported in Latin America and the Caribbean; growing by 5.9% against the previous year's figure. Overall, exports posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 36% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, hand-held blow pipe exports declined slightly to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last nine-year period. Mexico (X units) represented roughly 99% of total exports in 2021.
Mexico was also the fastest-growing in terms of the hand-held blow pipes for soldering, brazing or welding exports, with a CAGR of +11.0% from 2012 to 2021. Mexico (+4.8 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Mexico ($X) also remains the largest hand-held blow pipe supplier in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Total imports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Total imports indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
The purchases of the three major importers of hand-held blow pipes for soldering, brazing or welding, namely Brazil, Mexico and Chile, represented more than half of total import. It was distantly followed by Colombia (X units) and Argentina (X units), together committing a 14% share of total imports. Ecuador (X units), Costa Rica (X units), Peru (X units), Guatemala (X units), Panama (X units) and El Salvador (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by El Salvador (with a CAGR of +45.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest hand-held blow pipe importing markets in Latin America and the Caribbean were Mexico ($X), Brazil ($X) and Chile ($X), together comprising 70% of total imports. Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama and El Salvador lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 23%.
El Salvador, with a CAGR of +43.3%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of 11% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a noticeable shrinkage. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Chile ($X per unit), while Costa Rica ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Guatemala (+8.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
