Exports from Brazil increased at an average annual rate of +10.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Chile (+20.7%), Colombia (+16.3%), Mexico (+11.9%), Argentina (+3.7%) and Guatemala (+1.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Chile emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of +20.7% from 2012-2021. While the share of Brazil (+9.8 p.p.), Mexico (+6.8 p.p.), Colombia (+4.6 p.p.) and Chile (+2.4 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Argentina (-1.6 p.p.) and Guatemala (-1.8 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Mexico ($X) remains the largest cutting blade supplier in Latin America and the Caribbean, comprising 66% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Brazil ($X), with a 20% share of total exports. It was followed by Colombia, with a 7.4% share.

In Mexico, cutting blade exports increased at an average annual rate of +9.3% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Brazil (+3.7% per year) and Colombia (+5.6% per year).
