The total production indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, production decreased by +0.1% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 31% against the previous year. Exports in Latin America and the Caribbean
In 2022, the amount of monitors and projectors exported in Latin America and the Caribbean dropped slightly to X units, almost unchanged from the previous year. In general, exports saw a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 91%. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, monitors and projectors exports shrank slightly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a abrupt downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by 59% against the previous year. In Mexico, monitors and projectors exports decreased by an average annual rate of -15.4% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Chile (-30.7% per year) and Colombia (-0.4% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per unit in 2022, remaining constant against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 13%. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Chile ($X per unit), while Colombia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (-0.0%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in Latin America and the Caribbean
In 2022, after two years of decline, there was growth in supplies from abroad of monitors and projectors, when their volume increased by 1.7% to X units. Over the period under review, imports, however, faced a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 44%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, monitors and projectors imports fell modestly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a abrupt contraction. Mexico represented the key importing country with an import of around X units, which amounted to 47% of total imports. Ecuador (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 23% share, followed by Bolivia (6.4%) and Argentina (4.8%). The following importers - Brazil (X units), Costa Rica (X units) and Uruguay (X units) - together made up 7.4% of total imports.
Imports into Mexico decreased at an average annual rate of -16.4% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Argentina (+16.2%), Ecuador (+4.4%) and Costa Rica (+2.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Argentina emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of +16.2% from 2012-2022. Bolivia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Uruguay (-12.9%) and Brazil (-22.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina and Costa Rica increased by +20, +5.1, +4.5 and +2.3 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Mexico ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported monitors and projectors in Latin America and the Caribbean, comprising 51% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Brazil ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by Ecuador, with a 4.5% share.
In Mexico, monitors and projectors imports contracted by an average annual rate of -14.7% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Brazil (-8.0% per year) and Ecuador (-10.8% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per unit in 2022, which is down by -4.7% against the previous year. Import price indicated modest growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, monitors and projectors import price increased by +4.5% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 18%.
