In general, exports continue to indicate a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2012 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, motorcycle and scooter exports skyrocketed to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2012 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, exports failed to regain the momentum.

Exports by Country

Brazil was the main exporting country with an export of around X units, which recorded X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Colombia (X units) and Mexico (X units), together committing a X% share of total exports.

Exports from Brazil decreased at an average annual rate of -X% from 2007 to 2020. At the same time, Mexico (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Mexico emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2020. By contrast, Colombia (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In 2020, the motorcycle and scooter export price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per unit, jumping by X% against the previous year. Export price indicated measured growth from 2007 to 2020: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
