In value terms, non-electric industrial furnace exports shrank to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when exports increased by 49%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Brazil represented the main exporter of non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the volume of exports accounting for X units, which was approx. 60% of total exports in 2022. Colombia (X units) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Mexico (X units), Argentina (X units) and Costa Rica (X units). All these countries together took approx. 34% share of total exports. The Dominican Republic (X units) held a relatively small share of total exports.

At the same time, the Dominican Republic (+57.6%), Costa Rica (+37.8%) and Colombia (+4.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Argentina (-3.2%) and Mexico (-7.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia and the Dominican Republic increased by +7.2, +5.8, +3.6 and +1.8 percentage points, respectively.

In value terms, Brazil ($X) emerged as the largest non-electric industrial furnace supplier in Latin America and the Caribbean, comprising 44% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Mexico ($X), with a 16% share of total exports. It was followed by Colombia, with a 14% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Brazil was relatively modest. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Mexico (-7.6% per year) and Colombia (+3.2% per year).

In general, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
