From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Brazil (X units) represented the key exporter of overhead travelling cranes on fixed support, committing 54% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Mexico (X units), Colombia (X units) and Chile (X units), together comprising a 37% share of total exports. The following exporters - Argentina (X units), Honduras (X units) and Trinidad and Tobago (X units) - each amounted to a 9.2% share of total exports.
Exports from Brazil increased at an average annual rate of +5.5% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Trinidad and Tobago (+11.6%) and Colombia (+7.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Chile experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Mexico (-7.9%), Honduras (-21.4%) and Argentina (-21.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Brazil (+30 p.p.), Colombia (+5 p.p.), Honduras (+3.1 p.p.) and Trinidad and Tobago (+2.3 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Mexico (-16.6 p.p.) and Argentina (-23.5 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Brazil ($X), Mexico ($X) and Chile ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined 84% share of total exports. Argentina, Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago and Honduras lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 8.5%.
Among the main exporting countries, Honduras, with a CAGR of +23.9%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per unit in 2022, which is down by -10.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the export price increased by 89% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Chile ($X per unit), while Honduras ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Honduras (+26.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Latin America and the Caribbean
In 2022, the amount of overhead travelling cranes on fixed support imported in Latin America and the Caribbean expanded rapidly to X units, growing by 14% against the previous year. In general, imports, however, recorded a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 95% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, overhead travelling crane imports totaled $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a deep reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 26%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Mexico (X units) represented the main importer of overhead travelling cranes on fixed support, creating 35% of total imports. Brazil (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Colombia (X units), El Salvador (X units) and Aruba (X units). All these countries together held approx. 40% share of total imports. Peru (X units), Bolivia (X units), Chile (X units), Argentina (X units), Paraguay (X units) and Costa Rica (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Chile and Costa Rica experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Argentina (-3.2%), Brazil (-6.0%), Aruba (-9.9%) and Peru (-12.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Colombia, El Salvador, Bolivia and Paraguay increased by +11, +6.8, +2.3 and +2 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest overhead travelling crane importing markets in Latin America and the Caribbean were Mexico ($X), Brazil ($X) and Peru ($X), together accounting for 55% of total imports. Colombia, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Aruba lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 29%.
In terms of the main importing countries, Bolivia, with a CAGR of +22.4%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per unit in 2022, falling by -12.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the import price increased by 67% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
