The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest phosphinates and phosphonates importing markets in Latin America and the Caribbean were Brazil ($X), Mexico ($X) and Peru ($X), together comprising 75% of total imports. Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Guatemala lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 19%.

Among the main importing countries, Chile, with a CAGR of +13.1%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per ton in 2022, rising by 45% against the previous year. Import price indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the last decade.
