By contrast, Peru (-2.9%) and Colombia (-14.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Jamaica (+17 p.p.), Argentina (+12 p.p.), Panama (+9.8 p.p.), Peru (+2.5 p.p.), Costa Rica (+1.8 p.p.) and Bahamas (+1.8 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Jamaica ($X) remains the largest photographic flashbulb supplier in Latin America and the Caribbean, comprising 54% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Panama ($X), with a 15% share of total exports. It was followed by Colombia, with a 9.2% share.

In Jamaica, photographic flashbulb exports increased at an average annual rate of +42.2% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Panama (-17.2% per year) and Colombia (+17.5% per year).

The export price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 3.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a strong expansion.
