The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Brazil ($X), Mexico ($X) and Chile ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, with a combined 87% share of total exports. Peru, Costa Rica and Ecuador lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 4.8%.

Among the main exporting countries, Costa Rica, with a CAGR of +0.7%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.

Export Prices by Country

In 2021, the export price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per unit, rising by 88% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate resilient growth. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Peru ($X per unit), while Costa Rica ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
