Among the main exporting countries, the Dominican Republic, with a CAGR of +28.2%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the export price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per unit, surging by 31% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 131% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Panama ($X per unit), while El Salvador ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the import price increased by 12%. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
