Brazil (+16 p.p.), Costa Rica (+11 p.p.), Chile (+6 p.p.), Mexico (+5.5 p.p.) and the Dominican Republic (+4.1 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Peru and Guatemala saw its share reduced by -7.9% and -9.8% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.

In value terms, Mexico ($X) remains the largest primary cells and primary batteries supplier in Latin America and the Caribbean, comprising 39% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Brazil ($X), with a 17% share of total exports. It was followed by Chile, with a 16% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Mexico stood at +4.7%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Brazil (+4.9% per year) and Chile (+13.0% per year).
