Peru (X tons), Venezuela (X tons) and Bolivia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to pulses exports from Argentina stood at X%. At the same time, Venezuela (X%), Brazil (X%) and Nicaragua (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Colombia (X tons), Brazil (X tons), Mexico (X tons), Cuba (X tons) and Peru (X tons) represented roughly X% of total imports in 2022. Venezuela (X tons) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Costa Rica (X tons). All these countries together held approx. X% share of total imports. The following importers - El Salvador (X tons), Guatemala (X tons), Chile (X tons), Ecuador (X tons), Honduras (X tons) and Haiti (X tons) - together made up X% of total imports.

In value terms, Colombia ($X), Mexico ($X) and Brazil ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together comprising X% of total imports. Peru, Cuba, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Venezuela, El Salvador, Ecuador, Chile, Haiti and Honduras lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
Honduras, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of X% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Costa Rica ($X per ton), while Cuba ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
