The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 181% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, rabbit meat exports shrank rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, exports recorded a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 159% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Argentina prevails in exports structure, accounting for X tons, which was near 90% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Uruguay (X tons), mixing up a 7.8% share of total exports. Chile (X tons) held a little share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to rabbit meat exports from Argentina stood at -7.7%. In 2022, the export price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per ton, declining by -47.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a abrupt decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when the export price increased by 8.2% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country
Puerto Rico represented the largest importer of rabbit or hare meat in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the volume of imports resulting at X tons, which was near 52% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Mexico (X tons), Uruguay (X tons) and Brazil (X tons), together generating a 42% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to rabbit meat imports into Puerto Rico stood at +19.0%. At the same time, Uruguay (+41.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uruguay emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of +41.2% from 2012-2022. Uruguay, with a CAGR of +40.4%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per ton, dropping by -38.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, enjoyed a moderate expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 97%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton, and then dropped significantly in the following year.
