In value terms, sawnwood (non-coniferous) exports rose markedly to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by 17% against the previous year. By contrast, Peru (-5.8%) and Ecuador (-8.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Bolivia, Brazil, Guyana, Panama and Uruguay increased by +7, +5.2, +4.7, +2.8 and +1.7 percentage points, respectively.

In value terms, Brazil ($X) remains the largest sawnwood (non-coniferous) supplier in Latin America and the Caribbean, comprising 34% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Ecuador ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by Uruguay, with a 14% share.
