In 2021, the export price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 2.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 14% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($X per unit), while Brazil ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Guatemala (with a CAGR of +14.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.
In value terms, the largest metal threading machine importing markets in Latin America and the Caribbean were Mexico ($X), Brazil ($X) and Chile ($X), with a combined 83% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Argentina, Peru, Guatemala and Colombia, which together accounted for a further 10%.
