Peru (+3.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Brazil ($X) remains the largest flax fabric supplier in Latin America and the Caribbean, comprising 62% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Chile ($X), with a 24% share of total exports. It was followed by Colombia, with an 8.1% share.

From 2020 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Brazil totaled +3.7%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Chile (-7.0% per year) and Colombia (+48.3% per year).

In 2022, the export price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per ton, dropping by -28.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 a decrease of -1.6%.
