Amplifier Market Size in Latvia

The Latvian amplifier market reduced sharply to $X in 2022, dropping by -16.8% against the previous year. Overall, the total consumption indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.4% over the last decade. Lithuania (X units) was the main destination for amplifier exports from Latvia, accounting for a 40% share of total exports. Moreover, amplifier exports to Lithuania exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Estonia (X units), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by Germany (X units), with a 9.4% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Lithuania stood at +40.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Estonia (+36.7% per year) and Germany (+114.8% per year).

In value terms, the largest markets for amplifier exported from Latvia were Lithuania ($X), Estonia ($X) and the UK ($X), together comprising 54% of total exports. Germany, Georgia, Poland and Cyprus lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 18%.

Germany, with a CAGR of +135.9%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average amplifier export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, surging by 2.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a abrupt descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 43%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Cyprus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+9.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Latvia

After four years of growth, supplies from abroad of amplifiers decreased by -23.9% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 85% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, amplifier imports fell to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 57% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then declined in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2022, Lithuania (X units) constituted the largest supplier of amplifier to Latvia, accounting for a 30% share of total imports. Moreover, amplifier imports from Lithuania exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Estonia (X units), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by the Czech Republic (X units), with a 13% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Lithuania stood at +24.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Estonia (+41.3% per year) and the Czech Republic (+31.8% per year).

In value terms, Estonia ($X), China ($X) and Lithuania ($X) constituted the largest amplifier suppliers to Latvia, with a combined 57% share of total imports.

Among the main suppliers, China, with a CAGR of +60.0%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The average amplifier import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, rising by 20% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild shrinkage. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Estonia ($X per unit), while the price for Finland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
