The second position in the ranking was held by Sweden ($X), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by Lithuania, with a 9.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Estonia stood at +7.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Sweden (-4.9% per year) and Lithuania (-1.3% per year).

In 2022, after five years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of babies’ garments and clothing accessories (knitted or crocheted), when their volume decreased by -14% to X units. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a modest expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 69%. Imports peaked at X units in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.
In value terms, baby garment imports dropped to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw a perceptible decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 29%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Poland (X units) constituted the largest supplier of baby garment to Latvia, with a 64% share of total imports. Moreover, baby garment imports from Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Lithuania (X units), eightfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Germany (X units), with a 4.7% share.
