France (X tons), Lithuania (X tons) and Estonia (X tons) were the main destinations of buckwheat exports from Latvia, with a combined 85% share of total exports. Poland, Ukraine, Italy and Denmark lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 11%.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 62%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+59.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of buckwheat increased by 57% to X tons, rising for the third consecutive year after three years of decline.
