Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Estonia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Lithuania stood at $X per ton.
From 2016 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lithuania (-1.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, purchases abroad of frozen norway lobsters decreased by -76% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, imports showed a deep contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 287% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then shrank markedly in the following year.
In value terms, frozen norway lobster imports declined notably to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 268%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
Belgium (X kg), Denmark (X kg) and Germany (X kg) were the main suppliers of frozen norway lobster imports to Latvia, together accounting for 80% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Denmark (with a CAGR of +105.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Belgium ($X), Germany ($X) and Denmark ($X) were the largest frozen norway lobster suppliers to Latvia, with a combined 84% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+19.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
