The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 31%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then contracted significantly in the following year.

In 2022, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified to Latvia, with a 53% share of total imports. Moreover, non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Netherlands (X tons), threefold. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 16%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton, and then dropped in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per ton), while the price for Egypt ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
