In value terms, coffee extract imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a tangible increase. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The United Arab Emirates (X tons), India (X tons) and Spain (X tons) were the main suppliers of coffee extract imports to Libya, with a combined 45% share of total imports. Indonesia, Poland, Turkey, Russia, Brazil, Morocco, the UK, Jordan, Germany and Tunisia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 43%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Jordan (with a CAGR of +47.8%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest coffee extract suppliers to Libya were India ($X), Spain ($X) and the United Arab Emirates ($X), together comprising 40% of total imports. These countries were followed by Poland, Brazil, the UK, Turkey, Morocco, Russia, Indonesia, Germany, Tunisia and Jordan, which together accounted for a further 44%.
In terms of the main suppliers, Jordan, with a CAGR of +41.4%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average coffee extract import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 5.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, coffee extract import price decreased by -17.1% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 40% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Tunisia ($X per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Tunisia (+27.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
