Niger (X tons) was the main destination for pasta products exports from Libya, with a approx. 100% share of total exports.

In value terms, pasta products imports declined markedly to $X in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 764%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Algeria (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of pasta products to Libya, accounting for a 57% share of total imports. Moreover, pasta products imports from Algeria exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Turkey (X tons), threefold. South Korea (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.1% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Algeria amounted to +10.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (-3.3% per year) and South Korea (-16.2% per year).
In value terms, Turkey ($X), South Korea ($X) and Algeria ($X) appeared to be the largest pasta products suppliers to Libya, together accounting for 75% of total imports.
Turkey, with a CAGR of +23.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
