In value terms, non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 160% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Turkey (X litres) was the main destination for non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk exports from Libya, with a 89% share of total exports. Moreover, non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk exports to Turkey exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Canada (X litres), tenfold.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Turkey amounted to -3.8%.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for non-alcoholic beverages, not containing milk exports from Libya, comprising 66% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Canada ($X), with a 21% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Turkey was relatively modest.
Export Prices by Country
The average export price for non-alcoholic beverages, not containing milk stood at $X per litre in 2022, surging by 56% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price posted a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 129%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per litre), while the average price for exports to Turkey totaled $X per litre.

In 2022, the amount of non-alcoholic beverages, not containing milk imported into Libya fell to X litres, with a decrease of -13.1% against 2021. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 74% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X litres in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk imports contracted to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a noticeable setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 81%. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Austria (X litres), Tunisia (X litres) and the United Arab Emirates (X litres) were the main suppliers of non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk imports to Libya, with a combined 41% share of total imports. Spain, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Germany and South Korea lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 19%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Serbia (with a CAGR of +59.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
In value terms, Austria ($X) constituted the largest supplier of non-alcoholic beverages, not containing milk to Libya, comprising 21% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a 7.5% share of total imports. It was followed by Tunisia, with a 6.7% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from Austria totaled -5.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United Arab Emirates (+1.2% per year) and Tunisia (-1.5% per year).

The average import price for non-alcoholic beverages, not containing milk stood at $X per litre in 2022, growing by 7.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a slight setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 8.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per litre in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per litre), while the price for Tunisia ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Saudi Arabia (+10.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
