Egypt (X kg), Germany (X kg) and the UK (X kg) were the main suppliers of unsaturated acyclic hydrocarbons imports to Libya, with a combined 61% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Malta, the United States and the United Arab Emirates, which together accounted for a further 27%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Malta (with a CAGR of +56.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Egypt ($X), the UK ($X) and the United States ($X) appeared to be the largest unsaturated acyclic hydrocarbons suppliers to Libya, with a combined 76% share of total imports. Germany, Malta and the United Arab Emirates lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 18%.
Malta, with a CAGR of +16.5%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average unsaturated acyclic hydrocarbons import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, growing by 13% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, unsaturated acyclic hydrocarbons import price increased by +70.4% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 31% against the previous year.
