The United States (X units) was the main destination for aircraft exports from Lithuania, accounting for a 91% share of total exports. It was followed by Russia (X units), with a 1.2% share of total exports. The third position in this ranking was held by Ukraine (X units), with a 1.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to the United States stood at +44.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Russia (-18.8% per year) and Ukraine (-11.5% per year).
In value terms, the United States ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for airplanes and other aircraft exports from Lithuania, comprising 52% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 2.9% share of total exports. It was followed by Ukraine, with a 1.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to the United States stood at +21.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (+18.2% per year) and Ukraine (-21.5% per year).

The average aircraft export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, declining by -39.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a noticeable decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 47% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+27.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into Lithuania
In 2022, the amount of airplanes and other aircraft imported into Lithuania fell to X units, which is down by -10.4% compared with the year before. Overall, imports, however, saw a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 379%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, aircraft imports shrank rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed a pronounced decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 1,652% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Belarus (X units) constituted the largest supplier of aircraft to Lithuania, accounting for a 67% share of total imports. Moreover, aircraft imports from Belarus exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Poland (X units), fivefold. The United States (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Belarus stood at +4.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (+26.0% per year) and the United States (+24.1% per year).
In value terms, the largest aircraft suppliers to Lithuania were Belarus ($X), the United States ($X) and France ($X), together comprising 77% of total imports.
The United States, with a CAGR of +25.5%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
Import Prices by Country
The average aircraft import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, dropping by -8.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price faced a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 266% against the previous year. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per unit), while the price for Norway ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
