In value terms, baby garment exports amounted to $X in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +80.4% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 48%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

Russia (X units), Poland (X units) and Estonia (X units) were the main destinations of baby garment exports from Lithuania, with a combined 60% share of total exports.

The Czech Republic, Belarus, Poland, Estonia, Norway, Latvia, Finland, Sweden and Ukraine lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 25%.
The Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +103.1%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average baby garment export price amounted to $X per unit, leveling off at the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 55% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (+23.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Lithuania
Baby garment imports into Lithuania totaled X units in 2022, increasing by 8.7% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports saw a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 64%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.
In value terms, baby garment imports dropped to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 29% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then fell in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Poland (X units) constituted the largest baby garment supplier to Lithuania, accounting for a 65% share of total imports. Moreover, baby garment imports from Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X units), sevenfold. Italy (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Poland stood at +37.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+16.1% per year) and Italy (+1.4% per year).
In value terms, Poland ($X) constituted the largest supplier of babies’ garments and clothing accessories (knitted or crocheted) to Lithuania, comprising 39% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Italy ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany, with a 9.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Poland amounted to +26.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+10.7% per year) and Germany (+14.6% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average baby garment import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, reducing by -14.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a slight setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 68%. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Norway ($X per unit), while the price for Poland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
