In value terms, hypochlorites, chlorites and hypobromites exports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a prominent expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 170%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Slovakia (X tons), Latvia (X tons) and Kazakhstan (X tons) were the main destinations of hypochlorites, chlorites and hypobromites exports from Lithuania, with a combined 86% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Slovakia (with a CAGR of +334.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 50% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then reduced markedly in the following year.

In value terms, hypochlorites, chlorites and hypobromites imports fell modestly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a strong expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 72%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, leveling off in the following year.

In 2022, Hungary (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of hypochlorites, chlorites and hypobromites to Lithuania, with a 42% share of total imports. Moreover, hypochlorites, chlorites and hypobromites imports from Hungary exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Poland (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Estonia (X tons), with a 12% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Hungary totaled +26.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (-12.8% per year) and Estonia (+44.1% per year).

In value terms, the largest hypochlorites, chlorites and hypobromites suppliers to Lithuania were Germany ($X), Hungary ($X) and Poland ($X), together accounting for 61% of total imports. Russia, Slovakia, Estonia and Latvia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 33%.

Among the main suppliers, Latvia, with a CAGR of +51.8%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
