Over the period under review, exports, however, faced a drastic downturn. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified exports rose modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a precipitous decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 58% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Spain (X tons), Russia (X tons) and Belarus (X tons) were the main destinations of non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified exports from Lithuania, with a combined 68% share of total exports. Latvia, Poland, Kazakhstan and Estonia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 28%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of +53.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Russia ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified exports from Lithuania, comprising 38% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with a 19% share of total exports. It was followed by Latvia, with a 14% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Russia amounted to -28.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belarus (-2.7% per year) and Latvia (+12.7% per year).

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 43%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kazakhstan (+7.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

For the fifth consecutive year, Lithuania recorded decline in supplies from abroad of non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified, which decreased by -8.4% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a perceptible decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 49%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified imports declined to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 34% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
The Netherlands (X tons), Latvia (X tons) and Spain (X tons) were the main suppliers of non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified imports to Lithuania, together accounting for 67% of total imports. Turkey, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Egypt and Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 29%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Hungary (with a CAGR of +85.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified suppliers to Lithuania were the Netherlands ($X), Latvia ($X) and Spain ($X), together accounting for 68% of total imports. Poland, Turkey, Hungary, Germany, Egypt and Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 26%.
Hungary, with a CAGR of +104.8%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average import price for non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified amounted to $X per ton, remaining stable against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 18%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per ton), while the price for Egypt ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
