Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate temperate growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when exports increased by 69% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, non-self-propelled fork-lift truck exports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, exports posted moderate growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 191% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Latvia (X units), Germany (X units) and Estonia (X units) were the main destinations of non-self-propelled fork-lift truck exports from Lithuania, together accounting for 63% of total exports. Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Kyrgyzstan, France, Ukraine, Belgium, Jordan, Russia and Belarus lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 29%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Denmark (with a CAGR of +247.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the Netherlands ($X), Latvia ($X) and Germany ($X) constituted the largest markets for non-self-propelled fork-lift truck exported from Lithuania worldwide, with a combined 64% share of total exports. Denmark, Russia, Ukraine, Sweden, France, Belgium, Kyrgyzstan, Estonia, Belarus and Jordan lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 28%.
In terms of the main countries of destination, Denmark, with a CAGR of +143.8%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The average non-self-propelled fork-lift truck export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, falling by -11.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, posted temperate growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 123%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Jordan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+31.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Lithuania
After five years of growth, purchases abroad of non-self-propelled fork-lift trucks decreased by -20.6% to X units in 2022. Overall, imports, however, posted a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 50% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units, and then contracted dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, non-self-propelled fork-lift truck imports shrank remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 31% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then reduced remarkably in the following year.
Imports by Country
Vietnam (X units), Malaysia (X units) and China (X units) were the main suppliers of non-self-propelled fork-lift truck imports to Lithuania, together accounting for 53% of total imports. Germany, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Latvia, Estonia, Ireland, Belgium and Finland lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 38%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Austria (with a CAGR of +79.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Latvia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of non-self-propelled fork-lift trucks to Lithuania, comprising 32% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Sweden ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany, with an 8.4% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from Latvia amounted to +15.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Sweden (+4.0% per year) and Germany (+8.3% per year).

In 2022, the average non-self-propelled fork-lift truck import price amounted to $X per unit, growing by 6.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a slight downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 44%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Latvia ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
