Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Sweden ($X per unit) and Estonia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Latvia ($X per unit) and France ($X per unit) were amongst the lowest.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +56.9% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 129% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, air conditioning machine imports contracted to $X in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +10.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -9.5% against 2017 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 142% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Belgium (X units) constituted the largest air conditioning machine supplier to Lithuania, with a 61% share of total imports. Moreover, air conditioning machine imports from Belgium exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X units), sevenfold. Poland (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 6.7% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Belgium amounted to +40.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+8.8% per year) and Poland (-2.2% per year).

In value terms, Belgium ($X) constituted the largest supplier of non-window or wall air conditioning machines to Lithuania, comprising 32% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by Italy, with a 10% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Belgium amounted to +34.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (+6.5% per year) and Italy (+7.5% per year).

Import Prices by Country

The average air conditioning machine import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, almost unchanged from the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 19% against the previous year.
