Imports into Lithuania

In 2022, approx. X tons of prepared additives for cements, mortars or concretes were imported into Lithuania; with an increase of 1.6% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, total imports indicated moderate growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +31.6% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 30%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, prepared additives for cements imports rose to $X in 2022. In general, total imports indicated buoyant growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +46.3% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 52% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Poland (X tons), Latvia (X tons) and Estonia (X tons) were the main suppliers of prepared additives for cements imports to Lithuania, together comprising 84% of total imports. Norway, Germany and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 12%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Norway (with a CAGR of +185.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Poland ($X), Latvia ($X) and Estonia ($X) were the largest prepared additives for cements suppliers to Lithuania, with a combined 79% share of total imports. Germany, Norway and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 14%.
