Textile Tubing Market Size in Lithuania

In 2022, the Lithuanian textile tubing market increased by 14% to $X, rising for the third consecutive year after two years of decline. Over the period under review, consumption continues to indicate a resilient expansion. Textile tubing consumption peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing, when their volume decreased by -71.3% to X tons. Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed perceptible growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 276%. The exports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, textile tubing exports fell notably to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 219%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Uzbekistan (X tons), Russia (X tons) and the United States (X kg) were the main destinations of textile tubing exports from Lithuania, with a combined 71% share of total exports. Latvia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and South Africa lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 23%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for South Africa (with a CAGR of +825.0%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for textile tubing exported from Lithuania were Uzbekistan ($X), the United States ($X) and Russia ($X), with a combined 71% share of total exports. South Africa, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Latvia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 19%.

South Africa, with a CAGR of +841.6%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

The average textile tubing export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, with an increase of 26% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated slight growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 30% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Latvia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Africa (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Textile Tubing Imports

Imports into Lithuania

For the third year in a row, Lithuania recorded growth in supplies from abroad of textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing, which increased by 42% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports posted a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 208% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, textile tubing imports surged to $X in 2022. In general, imports recorded a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 669%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

China (X tons), Germany (X tons) and France (X tons) were the main suppliers of textile tubing imports to Lithuania, together accounting for 91% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for France (with a CAGR of +86.5%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest textile tubing suppliers to Lithuania were China ($X), Germany ($X) and France ($X), with a combined 83% share of total imports.

Among the main suppliers, France, with a CAGR of +84.1%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The average textile tubing import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, dropping by -11.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a pronounced setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 149%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per ton), while the price for Slovakia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+6.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
