Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a slight setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 15%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X litres. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, wine of fresh grapes imports declined to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 34%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Italy (X litres), Spain (X litres) and France (X litres) were the main suppliers of wine of fresh grapes imports to Lithuania, together accounting for 73% of total imports. Portugal, Germany, Austria and Hungary lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 20%.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $X per litre in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per litre), while the price for Hungary ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.
