In 2022, the amount of animal and pet feed imported into Malaysia reduced slightly to X tons, declining by -2.9% compared with the previous year's figure. Overall, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 31%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, animal feed imports shrank slightly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern.
