Among the main countries of destination, Japan, with a CAGR of +23.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average antimony export price amounted to $X per ton, with a decrease of -14% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 49%. In 2022, purchases abroad of antimony decreased by -61.8% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after four years of growth. In general, imports showed a abrupt setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 304% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, antimony imports shrank remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 778%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
China (X tons), Indonesia (X tons) and the UK (X tons) were the main suppliers of antimony imports to Malaysia, with a combined 55% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by the UK (with a CAGR of +27.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
