Singapore (X tons), Thailand (X tons) and Australia (X tons) were the main suppliers of cocoa powder with sugar imports to Malaysia, with a combined 81% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Indonesia, Spain, Italy, Ghana, the United States and India, which together accounted for a further 13%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Italy (with a CAGR of +60.9%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Singapore ($X), Thailand ($X) and Australia ($X) were the largest cocoa powder with sugar suppliers to Malaysia, together accounting for 74% of total imports. Italy, Spain, Indonesia, the United States, Ghana and India lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 16%.
